Job summary

SHP Management Corp seeks a Property Manager for our New York, NY property with 224 units. This full-time role oversees staff, tenant communications, annual certifications, TRACS submissions, and HUD/REAC readiness, while managing accounts receivable and budget support.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of Section 8 or tax credit experience, strong MS Office skills, and familiarity with Real Page or YARDI. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Three to five years Project-based Section 8 or tax credit experience.
• Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office; Real Page, YARDI or other property management software required
• The Candidate must be able to work effectively as a member of a diverse team.
• Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her action
• Trait of being dependable and trustworthy
• Ability to utilize available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines
• Ability to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work

Responsibilities

• Oversee property operations, including staff supervision and tenant communications.
• Prepare and manage annual certifications and TRACS submissions.
• Coordinate HUD/REAC inspections and audits; manage A/R process.
• Assist in budget preparation and vendor bidding with main office.
• Maintain wait list, tenant move-ins/outs, and records per HUD/SHP specs.
• Handle tenant complaints and organize informational meetings as needed.
