Job summary

Morpheus Talent Solutions partners with an early-stage startup building the evaluation and training infrastructure for autonomous healthcare AI, including high-fidelity RL training gyms and real-world workflows.

The Founding Strategic Project Lead will own lab-facing delivery across frontier lab relationships, turning early engagements into shipped RL environments, gym artifacts, and post-training datasets that drive larger contracts.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex technical projects to frontier AI labs (prefer RL environments or post-training deliverables).
• Understanding of RL environments: reward design, verifiers, environments/tasks.
• Familiarity with post-training data pipelines (RLHF/RLAIF-like processes).
• Ability to turn ambiguity into structured goals, scope, and milestones.
• Comfort operating in a small startup with limited process.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end execution across lab engagements: scoping, timelines, milestones, risk, and delivery of RL environments and post-training data artifacts
• Be the customer-facing lead for frontier lab stakeholders — running cadence, aligning on environment specs and acceptance criteria
• Translate ambiguous lab asks into concrete workstreams: environment/gym spec, reward and verifier design, task library plan, QC plan, delivery roadmap
• Drive "quick-hit" pilots that prove fit and de-risk full delivery
• Coordinate across ML/RL researchers, environment engineers, and domain experts to ship complex projects at frontier-lab quality
• Build and enforce delivery quality systems — definition-of-done checklists, QC gates, auditability, versioning, postmortems
• Help convert successful deliveries into expanded scopes and longer-term contracts

Morpheus are partnered with an early-stage, frontier-lab-connected startup building the evaluation and training infrastructure for autonomous healthcare AI — high-fidelity RL training gyms and environments that make agents reliable on real clinical, operational, and administrative workflows. They're commercially live and already working with frontier labs.

They're hiring an exceptional Founding Strategic Project Lead to own lab-facing delivery and expansion across their existing frontier lab relationships — turning early engagements into shipped RL environments, gym artifacts, and post-training datasets that convert into larger contracts.

What you'll do:

• A track record delivering complex technical projects directly to frontier AI labs — ideally involving RL environments, evals, or post-training deliverables
• Working understanding of RL environments: reward design, verifiers, environment/task construction
• Hands-on familiarity with post-training data pipelines (annotation workflows, RLHF/RLAIF-style processes or similar)
• Exceptional ability to turn ambiguity into structure — clear goals, tight scope, crisp milestones
• High agency and comfort operating in a small startup with limited process to lean on
• Experience in regulated domains (healthcare, fintech, security) is a plus
• Experience converting early customer demand into expanded contracts is a plus
