Job summary

Morpheus is seeking a Deployment Lead in San Francisco to own the successful delivery of RL-centered customer programs, from initial scoping through steady-state execution—on time, to the quality bar, and at margin.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, ensure a clear operating cadence, and deliver a live view of progress, staffing, risk, and margin across projects while translating complex RL concepts for both technical researchers and non-technical stakeholders in a fast-evolving

Morpheus are partnered with a leading AI data platform for frontier AI development, offering enterprise-grade annotation and reinforcement-learning tooling, an expert-driven RL environment and data service, and a marketplace connecting AI teams with specialist annotators and RL environment builders. They've been pioneering data-centric approaches underpinning RL for frontier models.

They're hiring a Deployment Lead to own the successful delivery of complex, RL-centered customer programs from initial scoping through steady-state execution — on time, to the quality bar, and at margin.

What you'll own:

• End-to-end delivery of RL projects for one or more major customers — throughput, quality, delivery, and margin
• The economics of your deployments: live margin, cost-to-revenue picture, in-flight calls on staffing and structure
• The customer relationship for delivery of RL environments, reward models, and evaluation datasets
• A clear operating cadence and live view of progress, staffing, risk, and margin across projects

What they're looking for:

• Significant experience owning complex, cross-functional programs in a customer-facing role — as an operator, not an advisor
• Working familiarity with RL, RL environments, reward modeling, agentic evaluation, or post-training pipelines
• Financial/commercial numeracy — comfortable owning margin and unit economics
• Strong technical fluency and the ability to get up to speed on complex RL systems quickly
• Ability to communicate credibly with technical research/ML stakeholders while translating for non-technical audiences
• Comfort in ambiguous, still-forming environments
• Background in consulting, banking, PE/VC, or an operating role owning a P&L is a plus
