Job summary

Public Strategies in Oklahoma City is seeking a Project Specialist for the Work Ready Oklahoma statewide expansion. You will implement strategies, manage site training, and coordinate technical assistance to help centers serve low-income individuals seeking better career opportunities.

The role requires 3–5 years in project management, a four-year degree, willingness to travel up to 50%, and strong writing and communication skills to engage diverse partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (see education section).
• 3–5 years of project management, program planning, or operations experience.
• Experience coaching statewide networks and delivering training preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Experience with government contracts or not-for-profit organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships and learning communities among statewide partners.
• Provide organizational leadership to projects, including priorities, timelines, and objectives.
• Conduct monthly meetings with each WRO site to assess needs and monitor performance.
• Identify training needs and connect sites to applicable tools and resources.
• Engage with subject matter experts to develop new resources for sites.
• Collaborate with TA teams to share information, create efficiencies, and align statewide efforts.
• Report TA activity and progress to key stakeholders.
• Develop TTA action plans with objectives and benchmarks.
• Deliver needs-based TTA, including phone consultations, site visits, webinars, and tools.
• Conduct training and facilitation services through TTA efforts and direct programs.
• Document processes, accomplishments, and next steps for TTA strategies.
• Other duties as assigned.
