Job summary

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree preferred in business, social sciences, humanities, public administration, public policy, education, not-for-profit management or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years of relevant experience; alternative experience in lieu of a Master’s degree may be considered.
  • Experience in project planning, program operations, or strategic planning is required.
  • Experience coaching teams and developing corrective action plans to improve performance.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with cross-functional teams and partners.
  • Knowledge of government contracts and not-for-profit operations is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide organizational leadership for programs and projects including defining priorities, timelines, and objectives.
  • Oversee budgets, staffing, and deliverables in coordination with finance and compliance.
  • Ensure sites operate effectively and deliver quality service aligned with contract requirements.
  • Develop action plans, monitor progress, and coordinate with divisions to meet performance outcomes.
  • Engage with community partners and clients to ensure responsive service delivery.
  • Travel to multiple locations across the state as required.
  • Support staff development and performance management across teams.

Research informed solutions with measurable outcomes will be a regular feature of these activities with this role responsible implementation of assessment strategies to meet these goals. This position will oversee the strategic planning, partnerships, and talent development related to our activities in improving the self-sufficiency of low income families and other underserved or marginalized populations such as those receiving public benefits like SNAP and TANF.This individual will administer personnel and budgets for projects in consultation with Directors and/or Executive Management across departments and teams. The position will serve as the point of contact for project clients and subcontractors and will oversee the daily operations of all Oklahoma City Work Ready Oklahoma sites providing leadership, coaching, accountability, and performance management to ensure quality service delivery and achievement of program outcomes. Particular attention to detail, organization, confidentiality, and dependability are expectations for this role.Essential Job FunctionsManage the assessment, planning, and implementation of programs and special projects related to the position area of expertiseProvide organizational leadership to such projects and programs, including management of priorities, timelines, and objectivesProvide oversight to team members in developing, organizing and disseminating project materials, policies and procedures that provide for organizational structure, scaling, and replicationEnsure the Work Ready Oklahoma-OKC sites operate effectively and deliver quality service delivery in alignment with organizational goals and contract requirements.Manage the planning process and development of action plans for projectsManage client invoices and deliverables in coordination with Accounting and Compliance, as neededManage program progress and deliverables including coordination with other divisions to ensure organizational performance outcomes are met on timeDevelop and apply subject matter expertise to direct service implementation as well as consulting policy and technical assistance activitiesMonitor staff needs, workforce effectiveness, and professional development opportunities within supervised teams to support continuous improvement and successful program outcomes.Other duties as assignedEducation/TrainingMaster’s Degree, preferred in one of these applicable fields: business, social sciences, humanities, public administration, public policy, education, not-for-profit management and related fields.Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years of relevant experience or documented expertise in a related field in lieu of a Master’s degree will be consideredManagement experience, requiredExperience5-7 years of relevant work experience in project planning, program operations, or strategic planning, requiredExperience with developing vision for a team and executing multiple projectsExperience coaching teams towards positive outcomes and developing corrective action plans to improve performance if neededProven experience setting team benchmarks and monitoring and assessing established processes to achieve planned outcomes, preferredRelevant experience to include social service program delivery, workforce and adult education; program development; dissemination; working for or with government agencies; and, working for a not-for-profit organization or foundationimplementation and replication experience, requiredExperience working on large scale, multi-dimensional projects involving multiple partner organizations, government contracts and competing priorities, strongly preferredSkills, Knowledge, and AbilitiesExcellent problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.A passion for education and the empowerment of others through knowledge.Ability to work a flexible schedule, evenings and some weekendsMust be proficient in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook with mastery level knowledge and experience, preferredExcellent interpersonal, networking, and negotiating skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse populationsExcellent organizational, analytical, and presentation skills.Knowledge of workforce or industry trends in Oklahoma is highly recommendedEstablished relationships with community providers a plusAbility to travel to different locations across the state as required.ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSSufficient mobility and strength to move about the facility.
