Job summary

KGDR Consultants Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to support the planning, scheduling, and execution of engineering and construction projects.

You will develop and maintain detailed schedules, establish baselines, monitor progress and perform critical path analyses to forecast completion dates. Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project is essential, as is CPM scheduling and a collaborative approach across project teams.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in project scheduling, planning, or project controls within engineering, construction, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and analyzing complex project schedules.
• Strong understanding of CPM scheduling, schedule logic, dependencies, and baseline management.
• Experience performing schedule variance analysis, critical path analysis, and schedule forecasting.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, project scopes, construction sequences, and project execution plans.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience preparing project performance reports.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify schedule risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Establish project schedule baselines, milestones, critical paths, and key deliverables.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify potential delays, risks, and schedule deviations.
• Perform critical path analysis and evaluate the impact of schedule changes on overall project completion.
• Prepare weekly and monthly schedule updates, progress reports, dashboards, and look-ahead schedules.
• Develop schedule forecasts and analyze anticipated project completion dates based on actual progress and remaining work.
• Conduct schedule variance analysis, identifying deviations from baseline schedules and recommending corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and construction personnel to develop realistic project timelines.
• Integrate engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities into comprehensive project schedules.
• Evaluate the schedule impact of scope changes, change orders, resource constraints, and unforeseen project conditions.
• Support the development of recovery schedules and schedule acceleration strategies when projects experience delays.
• Track project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and resource requirements.
• Participate in project meetings to communicate schedule performance, identify upcoming constraints, and support decision-making.
• Coordinate with cost control teams to align project schedules with budgets, cost forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Support schedule risk assessments and identify opportunities to improve project execution efficiency.
• Maintain accurate scheduling documentation and ensure compliance with client and company project controls requirements.
