We are seeking a Project Scheduler to develop, maintain, and manage complex project schedules supporting engineering, manufacturing, procurement, fabrication, and delivery activities.
This position will serve as a key scheduling resource for project teams and customers, ensuring schedules accurately reflect project requirements, contractual milestones, resource needs, and execution plans. The ideal candidate will have strong Primavera P6 experience and a background supporting technical, industrial, manufacturing, defense, nuclear, or other highly regulated projects.
This is a full-time, on-site position in Louisville, CO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules using Oracle Primavera P6, including resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules.
- Build integrated project schedules incorporating engineering deliverables, procurement activities, fabrication, testing, quality requirements, and delivery milestones.
- Coordinate internal project schedules with customer master schedules and contractual requirements.
- Perform critical path analysis, schedule forecasting, variance analysis, risk assessments, and what-if scenarios.
- Provide regular schedule updates, progress reporting, short-term look-ahead schedules, and schedule performance information to project teams and leadership.
- Develop schedule recovery plans and manage baseline updates and schedule revisions.
- Work closely with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing/Fabrication, and Quality teams to validate schedule logic, durations, resources, and assumptions.
- Support project controls activities, including Earned Value Management (EVM/EVMS) when applicable.
- Assist proposal and business development efforts by developing preliminary schedules and supporting documentation.
- Maintain scheduling processes, templates, and best practices consistent with applicable quality and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- High proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6.
- 3+ years of project scheduling or project controls experience in an engineering, manufacturing, construction, defense, nuclear, or similar technical environment.
- Strong understanding of CPM scheduling, resource loading, cost loading, schedule analysis, forecasting, and project controls.
- Experience managing multiple complex project schedules simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and standard business software.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with project teams, leadership, customers, and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical discipline; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
- Scheduling or project controls experience within nuclear, defense, government, DOE/DOD, national laboratory, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with ASME NQA-1, NRC 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, or comparable quality programs.
- Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
- PMI-SP, AACE Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP), or similar certification.
