Job summary

Worley in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Principal Project Planner to lead the development and maintenance of integrated project schedules across complex, multidisciplinary programs. You will provide technical leadership and collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and project management teams to ensure schedule integrity and informed decision-making.

You will drive scheduling excellence, assess risks, and guide forecasting, progress measurement, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience in project planning, scheduling, controls, or delivery in energy/chemicals/resources.
• Experience supporting large-scale, multidisciplinary projects across the lifecycle.
• Recognized as a planning and scheduling specialist with leadership capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, maintenance, and assurance of integrated project schedules.
• Coordinate planning activities to align with objectives and customer requirements.
• Evaluate schedules for completeness, logic, and resource alignment.
• Provide scheduling guidance for project controls, forecasting, and reporting.
• Identify schedule risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure integrated planning across functions.
• Develop and implement planning standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Facilitate schedule reviews and risk evaluations with stakeholders.
• Mentor and coach planning personnel; support workforce development.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and capability development in planning.
• Drive continuous improvement through digital solutions and data-centric methods.
• Assist in customer presentations and strategic planning discussions.
