Job summary

Oak Ridge National Laboratory seeks a Project and Planning Specialist for the Industrial Technologies Program. The role focuses on implementing four new DOE Centers of Excellence, coordinating with Center Directors, and tracking milestones and funding across multiple labs.

The position requires a BS in business or science and a minimum of 10 years in a fast-paced multi-project environment, with strong written and oral communication skills.

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in a fast-paced multi-project environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the ORNL Program Director, Subprogram Director, and Center Directors in strategic areas from inception to full scale operation.
  • Track and report remaining DOE requirements for future authorizations of new centers.
  • Establish annual use logs for access, reporting, and future use.
  • Coordinate report input from other partner National Laboratories and key partners/users.
  • Milestone tracking for Center and Program Management.
  • Provide financial oversight for center operations and all necessary financial reporting.
  • Support center directors in partnering efforts (SPPs, CRADAs, JFAs or other agreements).
  • Work with Program Office team on new funding opportunities.
