Job summary

Oak Ridge National Laboratory seeks a Senior Programs and Planning Specialist focused on financial management and reporting. You will collate requirements from program managers, ensure expenditures align with budgets and expiration dates, and produce sponsor-compliant financial reports.

You will collaborate with budget analysts, program managers, and procurement specialists within ORNL and with federal sponsors, supporting DoD and DoE reporting requirements and audits.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree and 5–7 years accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with SAP, Ariba-SAP, and business intelligence tools.
• Strong communication and leadership skills interfacing with stakeholders.
• Federal reporting experience (DoD/DoE) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead program budget analysis and management to inform sponsors.
• Coordinate budget and schedule with program managers and sponsor.
• Prepare analyses for program reviews and sponsor reporting.
• Support audits, reviews, and compliance tracking.
