Job summary

Compass Group USA, a Fortune 500 leader in foodservice and support services, seeks a Project Manager to lead enterprise-wide initiatives within the Strategic Projects team. You will own project lifecycles across operational support, continuous improvement, and innovations, driving change and delivering significant returns.

The role requires a BA/BS, 3+ years managing large programs, ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, and proficiency with Waterfall or Agile methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required for consideration.
• 3+ years’ experience managing enterprise projects and large-scale change.
• Ability to define and execute change strategies across functions.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and matrixed-environment navigation.
• Proven business analytics to solve complex issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PM tools (Smartsheet, Azure DevOps, MS Projects).
• PMP/Lean Sigma/SCRUM/Agile certifications encouraged; Big 4 consulting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute project scope, goals and deliverables that support business needs
• Build project teams and coordinate members to maximize productivity and velocity
• Implement and maintain Waterfall or Agile plans to support goals
• Communicate progress, risks, and escalations at all organization levels
• Collaborate with senior executives, sponsors, business owners, and field operations
• Create and maintain project documentation: status reports, work plans, presentations
• Adapt approach and methodology to ensure project success
• Identify opportunities for improvement and facilitate change within projects
• Enhance department reputation by owning new requests and adding value
• Travel as needed (less than 25%)
