Job summary

The State of Indiana presents an opportunity to join the Indiana Economic Development Corporation as a Project Manager serving the Northern Indiana Region. You will lead negotiations, manage development projects, and cultivate relationships with local partners and stakeholders to attract new jobs for Hoosiers.

Responsibilities include coordinating regional activities, advising on program applications, and maintaining CRM records while traveling within the region as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Economic Development, Community Development, Urban Planning, Real Estate Sales/Development, Sales/Business Development, or core industries listed.
• 1–3 years of experience in economic development or related field is preferred.
• International Business Development experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages and negotiates competitive expansion and business attraction projects with emphasis on creating job opportunities for Hoosiers.
• Builds and maintains relationships with economic development partners within the State, especially Northern Indiana Region.
• Visits local businesses and officials to assess needs and communicate program opportunities and requirements.
• Monitors regional activities and reports key items to IEDC leadership.
• Attends conferences and events related to business development and economic development.
• Provides technical assistance to identify appropriate IEDC programs and completes program applications.
• Updates CRM database with project and client information.
• Provides general support to Business Development leadership on projects.
