Job summary

One Southern Indiana Chamber & Economic Development seeks a Vice President, Chief Economic Development Officer to lead the organization’s economic development strategy and oversee a team of specialists. The role drives business attraction, retention, workforce collaboration, and policy engagement to advance regional growth.

You will supervise ED staff, manage budgets with the CFO, and coordinate communications with partners and boards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• 5 years of progressively responsible experience in economic development or related field.
• 2 years of supervisory/managerial experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead all economic development activities and strategy implementation.
• Supervise Sr. Director of Business Development; Sr. Economic Development Specialist; Economic Development Specialist/MMA Liaison; and Small Business Navigator.
• Develop and manage budgets with CFO and update monthly forecasts.
• Represent the organization in policy discussions, legislative testimony, and media interviews.
• Coordinate press announcements and investor communications; oversee site/building inventories.
• Report activities to the board and committees; ensure performance alignment.
