Job summary

State of New Hampshire is seeking a Project Management & Innovation Unit Administrator to provide strategic leadership for the unit within the Department of Environmental Services. You will direct planning, implementation, and evaluation of multiple complex, cross-functional projects that advance the agency's priorities and ensure operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7 years of experience OR equivalent combination of 11 years of education and experience.
• PMP or LEAN certification preferred.
• Knowledge of project management scheduling software such as Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead department-wide strategic initiatives and manage planning, implementation, and evaluation of complex cross-functional projects.
• Direct cross-agency project teams and coordinate staff, contractors, and partners to meet objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, analyze laws/regulations, and support innovation and decision-making.
• Develop and administer project budgets, oversee grants, prepare RFPs and contracts, and monitor expenditures.
• Implement organizational change strategies and represent the department before leadership and legislative bodies.
• Supervise project management staff, evaluate performance, and coordinate with stakeholders to secure funding.
