Job summary

City of Raleigh North Carolina is seeking a Senior Project Manager in the Construction Management – Public Safety & Special Projects Division. You will oversee projects through planning, design, construction, and warranty, acting as a Subject Matter Expert for stakeholders and City leadership.

The role emphasizes budget management, coordination, and compliance with laws and standards, with responsibility across the life cycle of capital improvement projects funded in the CIP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years' experience in architecture, engineering, construction management or related work.
• Equivalent combination of training/experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assists internal customers with determination of project needs and stakeholders.
• Provides project management and coordination of resources, design oversight, budget development and funding administration.
• Oversees project design, ensuring adherence to policies, codes, specifications and standards.
• Performs construction administration during active construction and post-construction warranty period.
• Acts as technical resource and liaison for engineers, contractors, developers, and City departments.
