Job summary

City of Raleigh's Engineering Services Department, Construction Management – Public Safety & Special Projects Division, seeks a Senior Project Manager to guide projects from planning through post-construction warranty. You will coordinate across City leadership, departments, and the public to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of high‑profile facilities.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong budget and logistics skills, and a proven ability to communicate clearly

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in architecture, engineering, construction management or related work.
• Equivalent combination of training/experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assists internal customers with determination of project needs including facility size and parcel requirements, operational considerations, and stakeholder relationships.
• Provides project management and coordination of stakeholders and resources, including services, scoping, design oversight, schedule monitoring, and funding.
• Oversees project design and ensures adherence to policies, codes, specifications and standards.
• Performs construction administration during active construction and oversees post-construction warranty period.
• Serves as a technical resource and liaison for engineers, contractors, developers, and public stakeholders; delivers presentations and prepares communications.
