Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Atlanta is seeking a hands-on Engineering Project Manager to lead hardware/software-agnostic product implementations. You will partner with delivery teams, guide design sessions, and ensure alignment with product roadmaps and design requirements.

The role requires a mechanical/electrical engineering background, strong leadership, and the ability to influence without authority while delivering process improvements across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Background in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Must have managed product implementations (non software).
• Self-starter with ability to learn and improvise.
• Leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority.
• Strong collaboration and partnership abilities.
• Innovation attitude, constantly exploring new technologies or ways of working.
• Understanding of Roadmap Planning concepts.
• A firm grasp of systems and design thinking, with a spirit of continual improvement.
• Strong experience in discovery, identification, and documentation of processes.
• Project planning, tracking and execution using Project management tools.
• Report project status and metrics.
• Strong expertise in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Jama, Smartsheet, etc
• Provide efficient project processes and deliverables to shorten the project life cycle, where applicable.
• Engage directly and daily with delivery teams to execute the project.
• Ensure product acceptance and readiness at key phases of the delivery cycle.
• Attend and lead design sessions with the product team.
• Plan the tasks sessions with the teams and prioritize work.
• Lead design engineers to accomplish project targets.
• Ability to work with multiple IT and business teams to gather and document requirements.
• Develop communication materials and lead communication efforts around the product, engineering team, priorities, and future roadmaps.
• Work with airline engineering teams and OEM manufacturers to meet airline design requirements.

Responsibilities
