The Project Director oversees all operational, budgetary, and financial activities for assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget while exceeding client expectations. This role leads by example, aligns with the company’s mission, and partners with strategic clients and internal teams to drive growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or equivalent experience
• Advanced degree (MBA) is a plus
• Professional certifications (PMP/PMI/PE/AIA/NCIDQ) may be required by client
• OSHA30 certification required or within 90 days of hire
• 15+ years in senior management, preferably in engineering/project management
• Excellent written and verbal communication; executive presence
• Ability to lead and develop teams; manage budgets and contracts
• Experience with project budgeting, proposals, and staff plans
• Strong problem solving, decision making, and multitasking skills
• Familiar with contract management and MS Office/PM software

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships and grow client relationships; act as primary JWI contact
• Oversee and manage the project team through full lifecycle
• Lead planning, technical documents, testing plans, and proposals
• Define project scope, budget, and schedule; negotiate as needed
• Review technical documents, design plans, and cost estimates
• Ensure deliverables are on time, within budget and quality standards
• Monitor expenses and manage project forecasts and staff plans
• Communicate progress and issues to executive leadership regularly
• Develop client capture plans and pursue new business opportunities
• Collaborate with Sales, HR, Finance, Contracts, and Safety teams
