Job summary

J. A. Watts, Inc. (JWI) is seeking a Project Director to lead the operational, budgetary, and financial duties for designated project teams across transportation, construction, aviation, or technology sectors.

You will oversee planning, execution, and client coordination while ensuring project goals meet scope, schedule, and quality within approved budgets. This role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with internal teams, and strategic growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM/Architecture/Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 15+ years of senior management experience in engineering, construction, or related fields.
• OSHA30 certification required or able to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Excellent communication, executive presence, and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience managing project budgets, contracts, and proposal development.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and grow client relationships as the primary JWI contact.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and cost management.
• Lead project teams through full lifecycle from planning to delivery.
• Review technical documents, cost estimates, and proposals for quality.
• Coordinate with internal teams to support business development and operations.
• Drive strategic growth, capture plans, and manage high-level partnerships.
• Ensure timely submission of timesheets and expense reports.
• Mentor and develop staff while aligning with company policies.
