Job summary

J. A. Watts, Inc. (JWI) is a woman-owned professional services firm seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee multi-disciplinary projects from planning to closeout. The role interfaces with clients, directs project teams, and ensures schedule, cost, and quality objectives are met.

Responsibilities include leading client meetings, developing plans, managing budgets, and coordinating with sub-consultants and contractors. A PM certification and 8+ years in relevant fields are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture or engineering or equivalent work experience.
• PM certification (PMP, PMI) preferred along with EIT or PE.
• 8+ years of progressive project management experience in engineering, construction or program management.
• Leadership experience managing a team of direct reports and mentoring others.
• Strong contract management and budgeting/estimating knowledge.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with MS Office and industry project management software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary interface with the client and lead the project team through the project lifecycle.
• Oversee planning, design, implementation, construction, and closeout activities.
• Develop objectives, policies, procedures, roles, and reporting structures.
• Collaborate with clients, sub-consultants, and contractors to resolve issues.
• Manage project budgets, costs, and staffing projections to protect company interests.
• Represent the company in meetings and coordinate strategy with leadership.
