Job summary

J. A. Watts, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee complex projects across transportation, construction, aviation or technology sectors. You will lead the project team, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and ensure client satisfaction from kickoff to closeout.

You will collaborate with clients and subcontractors, prepare technical documents and proposals, and mentor staff while maintaining adherence to the JWI Playbook and company standards. A PMP or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of progressive project management experience in engineering, construction, or program mgmt.
• PM certification (PMP/ PMI), EIT or Professional Engineer preferred.
• Experience leading a team of direct reports and mentoring others.
• Strong contract management and budgeting/estimating knowledge.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary client interface and lead project team through entire process.
• Plan and program analysis work, prepare technical documents and proposals.
• Define objectives, policies, and reporting structures per contract.
• Collaborate with clients, sub-consultants, and contractors to resolve issues.
• Lead meetings, document minutes, and maintain communication with stakeholders.
• Oversee project budgets, forecasts, schedules, and expenses.
• Ensure deliverables meet time, budget, and quality targets.
• Mentor project staff and provide guidance.
