Job summary

Carboline is seeking a strategic Project Development Manager to drive major growth in the Northeast, ideally located in the Philadelphia or Pittsburgh metro areas. You will engage engineers, architects, EPCs, and owners early in design cycles to influence specifications and ensure Carboline is specified for winning outcomes.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and pipeline management skills, with Salesforce experience preferred. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience with project selling and specification influence.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage major projects early in design cycles to influence specs.
• Build and manage a robust pipeline of strategic projects in your territory.
• Develop and execute project pursuit strategies for Carboline.
• Cultivate relationships with engineers, architects, EPCs, consultants, and owners.
• Lead internal coordination across Sales, Business Development, Marketing, and Project Development teams.
• Own the full project‑selling lifecycle—from pipeline growth to specification capture to final sales outcomes.
• Utilize Salesforce to track activity, manage opportunities, and maintain accurate reporting.
• Build and execute annual pursuit and specification plans to drive sustained regional growth.
• Champion all safety and quality standards.
