Job summary

American Electric Power in Tulsa, OK, seeks a Project Cost Analyst to coordinate cost analysis and controls for large, complex projects. You will input budgets, forecast updates, variance analysis, and KPI tracking, interfacing with PMs and external stakeholders.

As a senior member, you may train others, drive process improvements, and coordinate with vendors to align budgets and schedules across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in a related field with required experience.
• Experience in design, operations, planning, or cost tracking/forecasting.
• Exposure to corporate accounting, EVMS, budgeting, and scheduling systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project meetings and work with team members on project activities.
• Support documentation, planning, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Monitor budgets, variances, and cost tracking; perform SOX input where needed.
• Develop KPI measures and assist with baseline budgets and schedules.
• Assist in contracting processes and coordination with vendors and contractors.
• Mentor/guide junior analysts and contribute to process improvements.
