Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Chicago, IL is seeking a Staff Project Controls Specialist to lead project controls processes with the PM team, ensuring delivery within budget and schedule.

You will set up projects in Enterprise Planning & Controls software, develop cost reports, cash flows, forecasts, and multiple schedule reports while supporting IPPM and cost control activities across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required with 3 years of direct project controls experience.
• Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to obtain OSHA 10-hour safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project controls processes with the internal project management team to execute project deliverables within budget and schedule.
• Analyze data, review logs, and run reports in the project controls software or other tools.
• Create Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
• Develop, implement, and maintain schedules, cost reports, cash flows and forecasts for multiple projects.
• Input and document changes to cost reports or forecasts.
• Review project costs and contingency costs with Accounting and support external audits.
• Develop and present a cash flow report and various levels of schedules.
• Monitor resource loading of a schedule and support IPPM.
