Job summary

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in engineering, construction management, business, finance, or related fields.
• 3–5 years of project controls or project management experience in commercial construction.
• Experience using Primavera.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to tackle multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic contract terminology.
• Familiarity with JDE Edwards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the project controls execution plan.
• Lead the Project Management and Controls System and project initiation processes.
• Define OBS, WBS, and CBS within financial and progress systems.
• Follow the company's Project Controls procedures.
• Demonstrate understanding of Earned Value Management principles.
• Have knowledge of EPC contracting types (LS, Cost Plus, Reimbursable).
• Assist in the Estimate Conforming process.
• Understand the project chart of accounts and its relation to the estimate and contract scope.
• Own monthly budget, schedule, change management tracking, and project risk reporting.
• Collaborate with Project Accounting to manage cash flow, revenue recognition, and billing.
• Assist change management with cost estimates for change verification.
• Provide timely and accurate Schedule, Cost and Progress data and analysis.
• Know Scheduling Software and its relation to cost and progress.
• Own project schedule updates, maintenance, review, cost management, and trend reporting.
• Own risk assessment for the project, including risk and opportunity analysis.
• Participate in Closeout Report data collection.
• Interact with Operations and represent the Company to owners and subcontractors.
• Support the professional development of junior project controls personnel.
