Job summary

Defense Mechanics Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Account Manager to serve as the main liaison between customers and our manufacturing operations for complex utility infrastructure projects.

You will oversee projects from order through fabrication, shipping, and final delivery, coordinating with engineering, operations, quality, logistics, and sales to meet milestones. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in project/account management in a manufacturing setting, with strong communication,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in project or account management in manufacturing.
• Experience with custom or engineered-to-order products.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts and projects.
• Build long-term customer relationships through proactive communication and effective problem resolution.
• Manage projects from order receipt through fabrication, shipment, and final delivery.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, quality, logistics, and sales teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Monitor production schedules, capacity, and delivery commitments while balancing customer expectations and business objectives.
• Support pricing discussions, forecasting, order prioritization, and customer growth opportunities.
• Identify project risks early and drive timely solutions to minimize impacts.
• Provide customers with regular updates regarding production status, lead times, shipments, and milestones.
• Develop understanding of market conditions, customer requirements, and competitive trends.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance satisfaction and performance.
