Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in insurance, business or related field is required or acceptable equivalent.
• Advanced industry certification such as CPCU, ARE preferred.
• Minimum ten years of Property and Casualty experience, ideally in underwriting or product development.
• Minimum five years in delegated underwriting authority capacity or related portfolio evaluation roles.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new program opportunities through market relationships, brokers, and program administrators.
• Screen opportunities for strategic alignment, underwriting appetite, and portfolio fit.
• Lead due diligence of program administrators, including underwriting practices, performance, governance, and third-party relationships.
• Assess alignment with carrier expectations and risks related to underwriting discipline and growth.
• Evaluate opportunities from a portfolio standpoint: class mix, rate adequacy, profitability, and diversification.
• Collaborate with actuarial and underwriting teams to validate assumptions and risk thresholds.
• Develop Program Assessment Reports with financial projections and risk assessments.
• Translate data into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
• Manage opportunities through the full pipeline, tracking milestones and risks.
• Support implementation and cross-functional alignment for launched programs.
