Job summary

Great Lakes Water Authority in Detroit is seeking a results-driven project leader to plan, lead, organize, and execute a range of initiatives within a public utility setting. You will develop and maintain best practices and procedures to ensure accurate, timely deliverables.

In this role you’ll establish relationships with clients and stakeholders, drive process improvements, manage governance, and provide analyses and KPI reports to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related operational area with 3+ years experience (municipal/public utility preferred)
  • Associate’s degree in related operational area with 5+ years experience (municipal/public utility preferred)
  • Valid Michigan Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain processes aligned with best practices and laws
  • Forecast requirements and present recommendations to improve operations
  • Identify and implement process improvements and training needs
  • Prepare audit documentation and support audits
  • Provide analyses and KPI reports to management and boards
