Job summary

Great Lakes Water Authority seeks a Management Professional for Wastewater Planning at the Central Services Facility in Detroit. You will lead planning projects, perform data-driven analyses, and support CIP with coordination across internal teams and external partners.

The role emphasizes collaboration, reporting, and execution of master planning and system improvements, leveraging tools like SWMM, GIS, and PowerBI. A bachelor’s in engineering is required; Michigan license is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering with 3+ years in project management in public utilities.
  • Alternative: Associate’s degree with 5+ years PM experience in municipal settings.
  • Valid Michigan Driver’s License is required.
  • Experience with data-driven planning and capital forecasting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage scope, schedule and budgets for planning projects and report progress.
  • Develop business cases, conduct data analysis, and support CIP deliverables.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and prepare technical memoranda/presentations.
  • Support SWMM simulations and sewer metering in partnership with analytics team.
  • Coordinate with consultants and internal GLWA staff per PMP requirements.
