Job summary

Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) in Detroit, MI is seeking a Management Professional – Risk Management to plan, lead, and execute risk-related projects within the capital improvement program.

The role requires collaboration with operations and financial services, knowledge of PMP standards, and strong analytical abilities; you will monitor risk across the CIP portfolio and help deliver accurate data and dashboards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related operational area with 3+ years of experience in a document control field preferably in a municipal or public utility setting.
  • Associate’s degree in related operational area with 5+ years of experience in a specialty designation area preferably in a municipal or public utility setting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with Program and Project delivery teams, Operations, and Financial Services.
  • Manage consistency with PMP processes and plans and implement strategies that comply with professional standards.
  • Review project risk registers across the portfolio and support their development, updating, and analysis.
  • Assist with the production of risk management data, scorecards, dashboards, and registers.
  • Report risk data with the use of various tools and models.
  • Support CIP program delivery in project controls and QA/QC activities as needed.
