Job summary

Grant Thornton is seeking a Manager, Business Governance to join the Office of the COO. The role focuses on coordinating cross-functional initiatives, governance rhythms, and delivering high-impact deliverables.

You will report to the Chief of Staff, lead complex workstreams, and support M&A integration activities while building visibility into organizational performance. This hybrid role requires strong communication and strategic thinking across functions.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or related field; PMP or similar certification preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in project management, operations, transformation, or management consulting.
• Solid understanding of business drivers, operating constructs, and value levers of professional services companies.
• Ability to assess organizational challenges and identify opportunities to improve governance, communication, prioritization, and ways of working.
• Experience designing processes, operating models, business cases, or management mechanisms to improve team effectiveness.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains detailed project plans, timelines, and status reports for accountability.
• Tracks initiatives across a portfolio of functional domains to show progress on strategic objectives.
• Coordinates cross-functional teams to drive execution and resolve issues quickly.
• Prepares executive-level presentations, briefings, and decision-support materials for the COO’s office.
• Facilitates information flow across teams and ensures alignment with leadership.
