Job summary

Grant Thornton seeks a Manager, Business Governance to join the Office of the COO. The Experienced Manager will coordinate cross-functional initiatives, govern day-to-day rhythms, and deliver high-impact deliverables that empower decision-making.

Reporting to the Chief of Staff, you’ll support M&A integration efforts and connect leadership strategy to execution. Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in PM/operations, PMP or similar certification, and strong executive communication.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or related field; PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in project management, operations, transformation, or management consulting.
• Solid understanding of drivers and levers in professional services businesses.
• Ability to assess challenges and improve governance, prioritization, and ways of working.
• Experience designing processes, operating models, or management mechanisms.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• Adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; matrixed collaboration.
• Proficiency with project management tools (Smartsheet, MS Project, Asana) and MS Office; familiarity with AI deployment.
• Base salary range is $120,000–$180,000 with discretionary considerations based on location and experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains detailed project plans, timelines, and status reports.
• Tracks initiatives across a portfolio and maps deliverables to strategic objectives.
• Coordinates cross-functional teams to drive execution and resolve issues.
• Supports executive-level presentations, briefings, and decision materials.
• Facilitates information flow across COO teams and related initiatives.
• Identifies opportunities for process improvements and scalable solutions.
• Leads PM efforts for M&A integration, process optimization, and transformation.
• Demonstrates adaptability and emotional intelligence across stakeholders.
