Job summary

The University of Massachusetts Amherst is seeking a Manager of Strategic Programs and Operations to work in Amherst, MA. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Five years of experience in public education, language access, translation, interpreting, or closely related fields.
• Familiarity with language services ethics and confidentiality.
• Fluency in at least one language besides English.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director with strategic initiatives and special projects.
• Develop and oversee translation and interpreting education workshops and training.
• Teach workshops on multilingual communication policies to educators.
• Manage client billing and coordination of translation projects.
• Organize events and outreach activities with the Center and community partners.
• Coordinate professional development sessions and data-driven program support.
• Train and supervise interns or student staff.
• Prepare bids and proposals for external projects; maintain documentation.
