Job summary

Exelon is seeking engineers to independently perform technical tasks across planning, design, construction, and maintenance of utility infrastructure. You will conduct engineering studies, calculations, permitting, and performance evaluations to ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

The role involves analyzing power systems, cost estimation, budgeting, and collaboration with engineering, operations, and external partners.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge and ability to apply problem solving approaches and engineering theory.
• Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.
• General knowledge of regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods and practices for a discipline.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering assignments while exercising independent discretion under the guidance of an experienced engineer (70%).
• Performs engineering tasks on large projects or many small projects (10%).
• May direct engineering tasks on large projects or multiple small projects (10%).
• Evaluates effectiveness of current technical systems and processes; participates on teams (10%).
