Job summary

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) is looking for a Program Coordinator to join their Executive Office in Washington, D.C. This role includes supporting the AAAS Council and the Multidisciplinary Working Group initiative, with responsibilities such as coordinating meetings, drafting communications, and providing administrative support. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and experience in a collaborative setting.

Compensation is anticipated to be between $50,000 and $55,000 per year, with benefits including health insurance, paid leave, and a retirement plan.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of experience in an office or non-profit setting.
• Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities for the Council and MWG initiative.
• Develop written outputs including briefing memos and communications.
• Provide administrative support to the Director of Strategic Initiatives.
