Job summary

Marathon Petroleum, based in Findlay, Ohio, seeks a Corporate Strategy Support Manager to coordinate executive materials and board-level discussions. The role leads a small team delivering strategic support to S&BD and oversees confidential materials for Board presentations.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree with 8+ years in refining/commercial fields, strong communication, and executive presence to influence senior leadership. A discretionary annual bonus is included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Law, Communications, Marketing or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in Refining, midstream, commercial or related fields.
• 1-2 years of experience leading teams preferred.
• Strong communication, project management, drive for results, and collaboration skills required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of materials for the annual MPC and MPLX Board of Directors Strategy Sessions.
• Coordinate S&BD contributions for Board of Directors meetings, translating complex business topics into crisp, impactful messages and presentations.
• Manage quarterly S&BD Key Risk Indicator (KRI) updates.
• Serve as Program Manager for MPC Commercial Skills, a nomination-based professional development course.
• Lead planning and execution of strategic internal and external events, including town halls, team meetings, networking events, and university engagement programs.
• Lead and develop a team responsible for: Mapping and visualization services The Wire business intelligence newsletter S&BD communications and SharePoint content Board, executive, and S&BD presentation support Program and event coordination, including Commercial Skills and S&BD team meetings
