Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Program Manager within Turbine and Generator Services to lead long-term service agreements and develop programmatic strategies for the Regulated and Renewable Energy fleet of turbines and generators.

The role requires strategic leadership, coordination across departments, and ability to present complex reports to senior management in a rapidly changing energy landscape.

Responsibilities

• Continually evaluate fleet events, industry developments, supplier changes, environmental legislation, regulatory drivers, and strategic direction to identify opportunities to improve performance and cost effectiveness of program strategies.
• Leads the development and scoping of new improvement initiatives across the fleet to maintain compliance with standards and governance; provides technical leadership for the execution of program initiatives; communicates results to senior management and stakeholders; builds consensus and secures funding as appropriate.
• Manage OEM/vendor relationships to ensure safety, quality work, value, financial needs, warranty, and other requirements; identify opportunities for multi-year cost savings and bundling; assist with resolving contract performance issues at the project level.
• Develop and lead routine program assessments to identify gaps; provide support for stations during audits, assessments, outages; create tools to perform gap analysis and prioritize actions.
• Influence business unit leaders to adopt consistent standards; lead industry peer groups; integrate industry best practices; establish KPIs and adjust initiatives to fleet trends.
