Job summary

R.W. Mercer Co. is seeking an experienced Program Manager (PM6291) for a full-time contract role. He/she will plan, coordinate, and deliver complex programs aligning with organizational priorities and strategic goals.

The role requires leading cross-functional teams across operations, technology, product, marketing, and finance, while managing budgets, timelines, and risks to ensure on-schedule delivery and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Operations, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in program management, project management, operations, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience managing multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of project and program management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid).
• Excellent organizational, planning, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with executives and cross-functional teams.
• PM/PgMP/Scrum Master or similar certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple programs from initiation through completion.
• Develop program plans, timelines, milestones, budgets, resource requirements, and performance objectives.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across operations, technology, product, marketing, finance, and other functions.
• Establish program priorities and ensure alignment with strategy and business needs.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
• Manage schedules, deliverables, resources, and competing priorities with high quality.
• Facilitate program meetings, stakeholder reviews, status updates, and executive presentations.
• Prepare reports and dashboards on performance, milestones, risks, and budgets.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to clarify responsibilities and timelines.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and delivery methods.
• Control program scope changes with approvals and documentation.
• Support budget management, resource allocation, and vendor-related activities.
• Ensure programs comply with policies and quality standards.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and guide project managers and teams.
