Job summary

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) is seeking a Program Manager for Case Management Transition to lead strategic planning and execution of projects related to the agency’s transition to a new IT case management system. This role requires collaboration with Statewide Intake, Child Protective Services, and external partners to drive program success.

The position reports to the Deputy Commissioner and oversees budgets, policies, and change management while coordinating

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in social services, computer science, business administration, public administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manages program level tasks for large-scale complex projects and monitors project health, status, and communications.
• Directs scope of work, evaluation criteria, deliverables, performance measures, schedules, and milestones to support projects.
• Directs managers and staff so work is completed timely and projects meet deliverables and comply with policies.
• Builds and maintains relationships with DFPS programs, ITS, and external stakeholders.
• Coordinates work with DFPS programs, partner agencies, external stakeholders, and vendors.
• Reviews guidelines and ensures compliance with laws, policies, and procedures.
