This client is a global, commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company that is focused on the discover, development and commercialization of innovative medicines with a broad and growing oncology portfolio.
Summary:
The Strategic Medical Planning Program Manager of Medical Affairs will serve as a strategic partner and act as the executional engine that keeps global medical planning moving forward.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic program management partner to Global Medical Leads and Global Medical Directors across the Solid Tumor portfolio.
- Lead and coordinate global medical plans from strategy through execution, translating strategies into clear priorities, deliverables, timelines, and actions.
- Program-manage cross-functional Global Medical Teams, partnering across Medical Affairs, Medical Communications/Publications, HEOR, Clinical Development, Commercial, and other key functions.
- Establish and maintain integrated project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, action items, and decision points to keep deliverables aligned and on track.
- Facilitate global team meetings, planning sessions, and governance discussions while identifying risks, competing priorities, resource constraints, and dependencies and driving resolution.
- Influence stakeholders across complex, matrixed global teams, creating accountability, navigating competing needs, and maintaining alignment with medical strategy and organizational objectives.
- Support knowledge transfer, governance structures, and ways of working while serving as a consistent point of connectivity across Global Medical and cross-functional stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Significant program/project management experience within Medical Affairs in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Experience supporting global Medical Affairs teams and global medical planning, rather than experience limited exclusively to U.S. or regional Medical Affairs.
- Strong understanding of how Medical Affairs operates cross-functionally and interacts with functions such as Clinical Development, Commercial, HEOR, Publications/Medical Communications, and other medical stakeholders.
