Job summary

Walker‑Miller Energy Services is seeking a Senior Program Manager for Strategy & Planning in Chicago. You will lead program planning, forecasting, performance management, and continuous improvement, working with the Portfolio Manager and leaders to optimize participation, savings, and customer outcomes.

The role requires 5+ years in program management, energy efficiency experience, and strong leadership. You will mentor teams, manage budgets, and collaborate with clients to drive long‑term

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent work experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of Program Management or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years’ experience working in the energy efficiency industry required.
• 3+ years of direct or indirect leadership required.
• Proven leadership abilities in a rapidly changing environment.
• Proficiency in financial and project management.

Responsibilities

• Champion mission, values, and strategic priorities through leadership and planning activities.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to program leadership to improve portfolio performance and customer outcomes.
• Lead cross‑functional planning aligning program strategies with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Promote a data‑driven culture and continuous improvement across program functions.
• Serve as strategic partner to Portfolio Manager and clients on program planning and portfolio optimization.
• Present performance insights, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
• Develop multi‑year program strategies to maximize energy savings, participation, and equity objectives.
• Translate strategic objectives into executable implementation plans and measurable targets.
• Develop forecasts and budgets through models, capacity assessments, and growth scenarios.
