Job summary

Leonardo DRS Naval Power Systems seeks a Manager of Program Finance to lead a team of program financial analysts and support the financial performance of complex naval defense programs.

You will partner with cross-functional leadership to deliver reliable forecasts, ECAs, and clear insights, while overseeing planning, reporting, and controls. This is a hybrid role requiring regular onsite presence in Fitchburg, MA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
• Seven or more years of progressive finance experience in government contracting or a complex manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop financial analysts.
• Strong knowledge of EACs, forecasting, budgeting, program profitability, cost accounting, and variance analysis.
• Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS, CAS, SOX, and accounting requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP, financial planning, and BI tools.
• Ability to translate complex financial information into concise, actionable recommendations.
• Advanced degree or relevant professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the program finance team: establish priorities, review work quality, coach analysts, and strengthen the team’s technical expertise and communication skills.
• Oversee EACs and forecasts: challenge cost-to-complete, assess profitability, and ensure risks and opportunities are supported and clearly communicated.
• Analyze performance and support program decisions: explain variances, assess drivers, and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead program reviews and support financial close: ensure exhibits reconcile, transparency, and decisions are clearly communicated.
• Support proposals, controls, and process improvement: review financial assumptions, cost estimates, funding considerations, and profitability implications.
