Job summary

National Pump Company in Florida is seeking a Scheduler/Planner to coordinate production schedules and material flow across machining, assembly, and coating operations. You will link production plans with material availability and customer commitments, working closely with production, purchasing, warehouse, customer service, and management teams.

You will monitor schedules, optimize workflow, and maintain accurate planning records while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and lean

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
• Three or more years of production planning, scheduling, manufacturing coordination, or related operational experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and production scheduling software; Syteline or a similar manufacturing ERP system preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to working across departments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain production schedules using ERP and scheduling systems.
• Monitor job progress, material shortages, and production capacity; coordinate adjustments as priorities change.
• Align schedules with material receipts, inventory availability, and purchasing activities.
• Communicate production priorities, delays, and scheduling concerns across departments.
• Process material transfers, allocate materials to jobs, and prepare purchasing requisitions.
• Prepare production packets, coordinate job releases, and maintain accurate planning records.
• Support improvements in scheduling, workflow, and manufacturing efficiency.
