Job summary

Pridgeon and Clay Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a Production Scheduler/Planner to align supplier needs with internal requirements and maximize on-time delivery through Kanban and disciplined planning.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in business and hands-on experience with production scheduling in manufacturing, plus proficiency with MRPs and Excel, and a track record of driving projects with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business (or related field) required.
• Experience scheduling production or material planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system.
• Strong computer proficiency (Windows, Outlook, Excel).
• Ability to work well with diverse groups of people.
• Ability to drive projects to completion.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Issue material/releases to meet inventory and scheduling needs and 99% on-time delivery.
• Develop and maintain Kanban pull system with supplier partners.
• Examine requirements, schedule work, maintain line schedules, and monitor production for 100% order fill.
• Expedite material/components as required to support Kanban.
• Coordinate phase in/out programs and manage material flow.
• Track inventory levels and ramp-up/production schedules.
• Support PPAP/APQP processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
