Job summary

PLZ Corp is seeking a Production Scheduler to develop and manage daily production schedules across multiple product lines. The role emphasizes aligning materials, capacity, and customer commitments while optimizing efficiency.

You will gather inputs from procurement, inventory, and production teams, monitor performance, and adjust plans as needed to meet delivery goals within the Sales and Operations Planning framework.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of scheduling experience in a manufacturing setting.
• BA/BS in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or Operations Research preferred.
• Process management experience in manufacturing and productivity metrics preferred.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems, including SAP/APO preferred.
• Product development experience with understanding of product life cycles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, prepare, and maintain production schedules that guide daily production activities and optimize resources.
• Gather and validate scheduling inputs from materials, inventory, capacity, and customer commitments.
• Monitor daily results, attainment, materials flow, and constraints to identify risks and bottlenecks.
• Revise production schedules in response to material, design, equipment, staffing, or capacity changes.
• Coordinate with production, procurement, inventory, customer service, and sales to ensure realistic, executable schedules.
• Use ERP systems and scheduling tools to maintain master schedules and reporting.
• Analyze material availability, capacity, and delivery commitments to support scheduling decisions.
• Communicate schedule changes and priorities to stakeholders for alignment.
• Exposure to increasingly complex tasks within production scheduling and cross-functional coordination.
• Other duties as assigned.
