Job summary

Axxeum, Inc. in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Production Scheduler to plan, coordinate, and monitor the flow of products across the complete production cycle.

This role ensures the timely scheduling of manufacturing work orders to meet internal financial goals and customer delivery deadlines. You will work with Purchasing and Warehouse teams, utilize ERP/MRP systems, and collaborate with Sales to minimize schedule disruptions.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and material flow.
• Ability to understand engineering documents: BOMs, Change Orders and procedures.
• Ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external customers.
• Proficiency in computer systems and ERP/MRP software (preferred).
• Costpoint experience is a plus.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of production planning experience in a related industry.
• Must be capable of passing a drug screen.
• Must be capable of passing a background check.
• Must have strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to prioritize work.
• Must be detail oriented with good analytical skills and ability to handle multiple tasks independently.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must have attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
• Must demonstrate positive, polite, and professional behavior at all times when dealing with co-workers, customers, and all levels of management.
• Must have the ability to communicate using clear, concise, and accurate English; both verbal and written are Required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate Bills of Material for pricing and analysis.
• Coordinate material flow to meet production schedules.
• Work closely with purchasing to expedite supplier purchase orders when necessary.
• Utilize ERP systems to auto‑generate and release manufacturing work orders.
• Collaborate with warehouse teams to manage kit picking and resolve material shortages.
• Communicate schedule impacts to Sales and coordinate manufacturing builds to meet deadlines.
• Prepare and maintain status reports on production progress, customer orders, and inventory levels.
• Apply judgment within established procedures to make effective decisions.
• Performs other tasks as needed.
