Job summary

LayerZero Power Systems is seeking a Production Scheduler to translate demand into actionable schedules for multiple machines and work centers. You will develop daily to monthly loading plans, balance capacity, and coordinate with Operations, Materials, and Engineering to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires strong Excel/ERP skills, attention to capacity constraints, and proactive communication to manage changes.

Qualifications

Minimum high school diploma; associate or bachelor degree preferred in supply chain or related field.
Experience in production planning, scheduling, or materials planning in a manufacturing setting.
Strong understanding of capacity, cycle times, setup times and production constraints.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Excel for data analysis.
Ability to analyze production data and translate demand into schedules.
Excellent organizational, prioritization, and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

Translate demand, orders, forecasts into detailed machine/work center schedules.
Develop daily, weekly, monthly machine-loading plans based on due dates.
Review capacity and balance workloads across machines and work centers.
Identify overloaded/underutilized resources and propose balancing actions.
Sequence orders to maximize utilization with minimal changeovers.
Coordinate priorities with production, materials, engineering, quality, and supply chain.
Ensure materials, tooling, drawings, and programs are available before scheduling.
Monitor and adjust schedules as conditions change; reschedule due to downtime or demand shifts.
Maintain visibility of capacity, backlog, and schedule adherence; escalate risks.
