The role balances customer demand, production capacity, inventory levels, and supplier lead times, working closely with Manufacturing Operations to resolve scheduling issues and maintain stock levels. Strong Excel and ERP skills are essential, along with 2–5 years in related roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree in business, supply chain, operations, or a related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in production scheduling, purchasing, materials planning, inventory management, or a related manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production schedules to ensure customer orders and production requirements are met.
• Create, issue, and maintain purchase orders for raw materials, supplies, and production-related items.
• Coordinate with suppliers to confirm material availability, order status, and expected delivery dates.
• Track incoming shipments and communicate delays or changes that could impact production schedules.
• Prepare, process and track Bills of Lading and other shipping documentation.
• Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure shipments are scheduled and delivered as required.
• Enter and maintain production, purchasing, and material information within the company's production/ERP database.
• Maintain accurate production schedules, purchase orders, inventory information, and related records.
• Monitor material requirements and work with Purchasing and Operations to ensure necessary materials are available when needed.
• Support production planning by coordinating priorities, schedules, and changes with supervisors and plant personnel.
• Maintain and update production workflows and related system information.
• Communicate production and purchasing updates across Operations, Purchasing, Sales, and other internal departments.
• Assist with resolving material shortages, supplier issues, shipment delays, and other disruptions affecting production.
• Review purchasing and production data for accuracy and make updates as necessary.
• Provide administrative and coordination support to the Production and Purchasing functions.
