Job summary

RAM Windows & Doors is seeking a Production Scheduler to plan and optimize daily and weekly schedules across aluminum window and door manufacturing. You will coordinate across lines (windows, doors, thermal break, machining, assembly) and ensure material availability aligns with plans.

Responsibilities include prioritizing orders, communicating changes, and driving continuous improvement to reduce lead times and improve efficiency. This role involves factory and office environments in Houston.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in production scheduling or planning in manufacturing is required.
• Experience in window/door or aluminum fabrication is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on demand, capacity, and material availability.
• Prioritize orders and adjust schedules for hot/priority jobs and service recovery.
• Coordinate scheduling across machining, thermal break, framing, glazing, and final assembly.
• Work closely with materials and purchasing to ensure materials are available ahead of production needs.
• Monitor progress and adjust schedules for downtime, staffing changes, or quality issues.
• Communicate schedule changes to production supervisors and team leads.
• Identify recurring scheduling issues and collaborate with leadership to implement improvements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on lead time reduction and workflow optimization.
• Maintain ERP data related to work orders, build schedules, and capacity planning.
