Job summary

dfa is seeking an experienced Production Planning Manager to coordinate daily schedules, procurement, and inventory for multiple production lines in Massachusetts. You will lead supervisors, manage materials flow, and ensure orders are produced cost-effectively while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires 5–8 years in production planning with leadership experience, strong knowledge of planning systems, and the ability to drive Kaizen and KPI reporting across the plant.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business or related curriculum preferred.
• 5–8 years of production planning experience with leadership attributes.
• Certification and/or license may be required during course of employment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing process flow and planning methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and company systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operational activities of supervisors and production staff to meet orders cost-effectively while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Lead recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and performance management of employees.
• Oversee procurement, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, and receiving.
• Coordinate procurement of raw ingredients and packaging materials.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies by supervisors and staff.
• Oversee work-in-progress and finished goods inventory; manage inventory levels.
• Lead kaizen events, corrective actions, and audits; track KPIs.
